Transforming an Outdated Hearth
This project began with a traditional fireplace encased in dated brick and a plain concrete surround that no longer complemented the homeowner’s interior style. The existing design, while functional, lacked visual impact and modern efficiency. Chicagoland Fireplace & Chimney Restoration worked with the client to reimagine the space, focusing on blending performance with aesthetics. The goal was to replace the old structure with a cleaner, more contemporary layout that would serve as both a visual centerpiece and an efficient source of warmth.

Gas Fireplace Upgrade and Stacked-Stone Installation
The existing fireplace was restructured to accommodate a new gas insert offering higher energy efficiency and improved flame presentation. Once the mechanical installation was completed, the team installed a stone veneer wall with subtle color variations to create texture and warmth. The new surround was crafted from smooth, light-toned stone to provide contrast and dimension. Careful alignment and finish work ensured a seamless fit between the hearth, insert, and mantle area. The remodel not only elevated the space’s appearance but also optimized safety and function with updated venting and heat management.
